Black cumin is the small black seeds of an annual plant of the Ranunculaceae family originating from Southern Europe and North Africa.
It is used in making tea by dropping a teaspoon of seeds into hot water and leaving it for 10 minutes, with the cup covered to prevent the aroma from escaping.
The seeds can also be added to cooked foods, whole wheat bread, in the preparation of wine or vinegar. You can also grind the seeds and mix them with honey or sprinkle them on your favourite salads.
