Mastelo cheese is made exclusively on the island of Chios, from high quality raw materials. Goat Mastelo is light with low fat and for this reason it is the favorite cheese of those who are on a “diet”. It is made from pasteurized, whole goat’s milk of the small mammals that live in the Chios mountains, with the natural flora of Chios giving the milk taste characteristics that pass into the final product and characterize it.
Serving tips: it’s great grilled, in sandwiches, on vegetables or in all kinds of fresh salads.
