Cold-pressed flaxseed oil is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, particularly alpha-linolenic acid (omega 3) and linoleic acid (omega 6).
These essential fatty acids must be obtained with food, as the body is unable to produce them. A varied and balanced diet should produce sufficient quantities, but with current food patterns in many cases this is not achieved.
The average consumption of fish, nuts, pulses, sunflower oil and corn oil is often not sufficient to ensure proper intake of these nutrients.
Usage: 1-3 teaspoons per day preferably before meals.
